Welcome to our first e bulletin ! We are still improving our e bulletin in to a new communication media for our networking to expose and address the issue of sexuality within the Asian region and international.
Within Asian region, issues related to sexuality have emerged significant ways in recent years. A number of regional and international developments such as increasing acceptance of the relevance of human and women (sexual) rights, the heightened attention of media, gay and lesbian movements, struggles and demands of sex workers as well as HIV/ AIDS agendas are all playing a role in this new visibilities.
This e bulletin will coming out every 2 months to discuss the topic which is considered taboo in most Asia countries. It will bring to the highlights of experiences of Asian organization who works for sexual rights and women empowerment.
We also welcome for friends and members who wants to share their activities in this e bulletin. Kartini Asia Network has tried to build awareness around the issue of sexualities through our research and publications."
